Yellow fever encephalitis has been reported in 3 infants due to breast milk transmission of virus from the vaccine. All infants recovered
Administration to breastfeeding women should be avoided except where exposure to yellow fever viruses cannot be avoided or postponed
Yellow fever vaccination is contraindicated in infants aged up to 5 months, and should be used only when risk of exposure to yellow fever is very high in infants aged 6 to 8 months
