In the event of an inadvertent temperature excursion the following data may be used:
Once Apidra is taken out of the refrigerator for the first time, it can be kept for 28 days at a temperature up to 25°C.
Pens or cartridge in use must not be stored in the refrigerator. The pen cap must be put back on the pen after each injection in order to protect from light.

Reduce the expiry date to 28 days if stored at temperatures up to 25°C.
In-use pre-filled pens, or pens containing in-use cartridges should not be stored in the refrigerator and should be kept at room temperature not exceeding 25°C.
