About the Event

In October last year, we ran a webinar outlining an ambition for a national pilot project to explore how to upskill primary care pharmacists to conduct structured medication reviews in patients with a learning disability: Learning Disabilities Project: Structured Medicine Reviews

This is being driven by the STOMP/STAMP agenda and we are now in a position to share plans to take the project forward with interested parties.

The overall aim of the programme is to create a community of practice to support non-specialist pharmacists working in primary care to carry out Structured Medication Reviews (SMR) for adults with a learning disability who may or may not be autistic.

This webinar:

  • Provided a recap from the October webinar on the proposed pilot project
  • Updated you on our progress in taking this forward
  • Explained key elements of the pilot project including support provided, including webinars and a dedicated NHS Futures site and our expectations of pilot sites
  • Outline how interested parties can express interest in joining the pilot.
