Although effects on breastfed infants are unlikely, breastfeeding can be delayed for 6-8 hours after a maternal dose to avoid peak milk levels, especially if high doses are used
Monitor infants for gastrointestinal side effects, e.g. vomiting, if used for non-acute indications
